I use fixed-price for well-scoped projects (most websites, APIs, MVPs) and hourly for ongoing retainers. After our 30-min discovery call I send a written proposal with a fixed cost and timeline — no padding, no scope creep on my end.
Most websites ship in 1–2 weeks. REST APIs in 1–3 weeks. Full-stack MVPs in 3–6 weeks. Larger management systems take 6–12 weeks. I always commit to the most aggressive timeline I can honestly hit.

Yes, always — even before our first conversation if your idea is sensitive. I sign mutual NDAs and have a standard template I can share, or I'm happy to use yours.
Every milestone includes 2 rounds of revisions at no extra cost. Beyond that, I bill at an hourly rate so nobody's surprised. I use Notion or Linear for tracking — you'll always know what's in progress.
Often, yes — but I'll do a 1–2 day paid code audit first to understand what we're inheriting. Sometimes the right call is "rewrite the riskiest piece"; sometimes it's "we can salvage 70% of this". I'll tell you honestly either way.
That's fine — most clients don't. I run a paid 2–4 hour discovery workshop where we turn your vision into a written scope, wireframes and a milestone plan you can take to any developer (even me!).
Most of my favorite projects are with non-technical founders. I translate engineering decisions into business terms, give you weekly demos you can actually use, and never make you feel out-of-the-loop.
